MAS 90: Copying Graphical Forms From One Company to Another

A graphical form can be copied from one company to another using Report Manager.

To do so, ensure that Crystal Reports is installed and accessible on the workstation, and then follow these steps:

From the MAS Launcher:

         Select Library Master.

         Select Utilities.

         Select Report Manager.

Select the application from the Application drop-down list. For example, select Accounts Payable.

Select the desired form from the Report Name drop-down list. For example, select A/P Checks.

Select the form to be copied from the Installed Forms drop-down list. For example, select 1 - A/P Checks - Plain.

Select the company to be copied from in the Customizations section on the right side of the screen. For example, select ABC.

Click on the Design button, as shown below.

The report will be opened in Crystal Reports. From there:

         Select File.

Select Save As. Crystal defaults to saving the file in the Custom folder that the form is being copied from, for example ..\Mas90\Reports\###-Abc.

Select the ###-xxx folder for the company code that the report is being copied to, for example ..\Mas90\Reports\###-XYZ.

         Click the Save button.

If an existing form code is being replaced:

Choose Yes when prompted to replace the existing file.

In a file name such as APWFJA1.RPT, APWFJA is the form name, and 1 is the form code.

Note: If the Target folder does not exist, it will have to be created before performing this procedure. The simplest method would be to:

Select any report in Report Manager.

Select <create new format> in the Customizations field.

         Select the target company code.

         Click Accept.

When you're done, exit Crystal Reports to return to the Report Manager screen. A copy of the form will now exist in the target company.
